CCxRC Favorites

I get a lot of questions about my favorite RCs. I've decided to make a list of them for you.

Current Favorite: Losi LMT

Price: $599 (RTR)

Motor: Spektrum 3150KV Brushless Motor (comes in RTR version)

ESC: Spektrum Firma 130a ESC (comes in RTR version)

Battery Needed: 2-3s LiPo (Batteries sold separately. Needs an IC5 or EC5 connector to match the ESC lead)

Finding a place at the top of my favorite RC list is pretty hard. I have more RCs than I wish to number in case my wife may be reading this post. Since the first time I drove the Losi LMT, I was in love. (Disclosure: I did have early access to this vehicle because I shot the product video for it....including this photo for Losi). I'm a huge fan of real monster trucks and have been building solid axle RCs for the past 6-7 years. The release the LMT was a complete game-changer for the solid-axle RC monster truck world. Sure, there are a lot of aftermarket and custom rigs that may be better for racing, but they also cost a lot more than the LMT.

My favorite race RC monster trucks are still my Freestyle RC Pro-C trucks, but the LMT is my favorite "go-to" truck for having fun.

There are a couple different options to choose from. The classic Grave Digger and Son-Uva Digger RTR trucks or the "Roller" version that has no electronics. The RTR has the most features for the price as an RTR will let you customize it, but at a higher cost when all is said and done.

Buy an LMT:

I've gone and upgraded my axles to TREAL's 7075 billet aluminum axles that can take a pounding.
