I try my best to keep inventory of my products, but there are teims that demand goes beyond what I"m able to keep in stock. Items are shipped in the order they are received and printed.
3D Printed in PLA Tough+
CompFrog hard bodies are 3D printed in PLA Tough+ to provide a strong, durable body for mini RC crawling and competition use.
These are hobby-grade 3D printed parts and will require some finishing work from the builder. Due to the nature of 3D printing and the use of supports during production, you may find minor rough spots, support marks, or other small surface imperfections.
These areas can be sanded and finished to your preferred level before painting or installation. If you're looking for a perfectly smooth, ready-to-paint molded body straight out of the package, expect to put in a little hobby work first.
Short Version
The CompFrog originally started as a cab and short-bed design for my personal competition truck. The goal was to create a compact hard body that would work with a wide variety of mini crawler chassis while keeping the overall profile short and lightweight.
If you're building a custom comp rig and don't need a full-length body, this is the version for you.
Long Version
The Long CompFrog was born after I was challenged to compete in a Hard Body Class using that required the body to:
Be at least as wide as the inside edges of the tires
Extend beyond both the front and rear axles
My personal rig uses a MEUS chassis, flipped Injora ModuWheels for positive offset, and longer "Deadiator" style link geometry, so I needed something significantly longer than the original cab.
The result is the CompFrog Long—a full hard-body setup with an integrated bed and cage designed to meet those larger body requirements while still maintaining the Unimog-inspired competition look.
The SCX24 Long configuration should also work well with common longer-wheelbase setups such as C10-length links or rigs using C10 front links with Deadbolt rear links.
