Do you enjoy running RC competitions or practicing precise lines with your mini crawlers? These Mini RC Upright Comp Gates are designed to bring real comp-style gate running to your home or trail course.
Inspired by the gate system used at Reaction RC for their 1/10 and mini competitions, these gates are scaled down specifically for 1/18, 1/24, and 1/30 scale RCs. Each gate mounts securely using a 1" nail, allowing them to be placed in foam, plaster cloth, or clay courses with ease. Perfect for setting up practice lines, mock competitions, or just adding structure and challenge to your course.
The kit includes green and yellow gates, making it easy to visually identify left and right gates as you approach—just like a real competition. You can also mix things up by pairing matching colors to create bonus gates or special challenges. The possibilities are endless and keep every run fresh and fun.

10 Green upper gate pieces
10 Green lower gate pieces
10 Yellow upper gate pieces
10 Yellow lower gate pieces
20 nails
20 springs (loops must be clipped off top and bottom)
Needed (Not Included):
Thick CA Glue
(Recommended: Starbond CA Glue)

1. Install the Nail
Insert the nail through the top opening of the lower gate piece. The fit is intentionally snug. You can:
Push it through with firm pressure
Heat the nail tip with a lighter and press it through
Pre-drill the hole using a 1/16" drill bit (still tight but manageable)
Add a small amount of thick CA glue to the top of the nail head as you slide it in to help lock it in place.
2. Install the Spring
Clip the top and bottom loops off the spring. Apply CA glue inside the opening of the lower gate piece, coating the nail head and inner walls. Slide the spring over the nail.
3. Attach the Upper Gate
Apply CA glue inside the opening of the upper gate piece and slide it over the exposed portion of the spring.
4. Let Dry & Run Gates
Allow everything to fully cure, then start running your new gates and dialing in those lines!
